Olivia is a commercial and advertising photographer working with people and places that value quality and authenticity across their visual branding. She is renowned for her storytelling approach which gets to the heart of the ethos of a business by creating images that give a genuine feel for people, products, services and facilities. She has been working for over 13 years with companies and agencies to create images for websites, marketing and advertising campaigns, annual reports, social media content, brochures and point of sale.

Refusing to niche to a specific genre of photography Olivia loves working with a diverse range of clients. Her adaptable approach fits perfectly for many clients who may need a range of different photography styles across a single commission. For example, a typical hospitality brief will require photography of food, people, interiors and services. In a single week it’s not unusual to see Olivia working on a fashion campaign, then a food shoot finally shifting into a manufacturing environment to document work roles and production. Great images are all about great light and Olivia is experienced at tackling the lighting challenges that working on location can bring.

Olivia had a previous career as an Occupational Therapist and brings this experience to her photography, particularly with her skill for gently reassuring people to achieve really natural images. Her approach ties in beautifully where a commission requires a more sensitive and intuitive approach such as charity and social care briefs.

Olivia lives in central York with her family. Her work takes her across Yorkshire and often further afield. Fast train links make London based commissions easily accessible.

Charlotte Harrison, Founding Partner and M.D. of mass architecture
Charlotte Harrison, BA(Hons), DipArch(UCL), RIBA, MA, graduated from the Bartlett in 1999. Charlotte co-organised an international festival of architecture in Leeds before joining Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, where she ran projects for Shelter and the Barbican Arts Centre.

Together with Glen McGowan she formed mass architecture in 2004 in London and moved to York in 2009.

Charlotte has been a design tutor and lecturer in 20th Century Theory of Architecture at Universities in London, Leeds and Sheffield.

Personal Interests

Charlotte is currently training for the Paris Marathon in April 2015, she has enjoyed long distance running for over 6 years and has braved the cold and wet on many a dark winter’s morning to pound the streets and fields around York. Her favourite place to run is the North York Moors.

Charlotte is also interested in philosophy but isn’t quite sure what it all means yet!

I obtained my HND in Civil Engineering in 1979. I have worked on countless construction projects from roads and bridges to development of deep mines. At Selby I was part of a production record breaking team in the construction of one of the deep mine shafts at Whitemoor Mine.
I started Kent Building Developments Ltd in 2003 where my technical expertise and management skills have enabled the company to offer a quality service in design and construction.

Anne Ma’aye, Founder of Network York
Anne has 25 years of experience of organising small and very large events. Working on weddings for up to 2,000 guests in the Middle East to weddings for a few hundred back in the UK.has given Anne vast experience of organising events.
She has organised several Charity Balls for Sargent Cancer Care for Children ( now CLIC) and for the ‘Guardian Angels’ of York, to raise funds for a special care unit and nurse for the local children’s ward at York Hospital.

Over the last few years she has also successfully organised various business networks in York, Leeds and Harrogate. She has also experience in Business Development and worked for 3 years with Tricia Douglas a well known interior designer here in York.

Having run all types of Business networks with different formats, Anne now feels through her experience that she has a format that maximises her members opportunities for personal, business development and business referrals. In 2015 she intends to extend the membership to 30 members and to continue to give the best and most beneficial services to her members enhancing their networking experience

Having had an interest in Aesthetics for several years she left the NHS in 2015 setting up her own aesthetic business.

She lives with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs (Gin and Uma) and 2 cats (Graham and Cilla). She tries to attempt gundog training with her dogs but readily admits she has more to learn than the dogs. With her firm sense of community spirit Bev has over the years also been a school governor and chair of governors, treasurer, and PTA committee member. She is currently Vice Chair of PIAPA an independent support group for nurses, doctors and dentists working in aesthetics that also works with national agencies to improve regulation in the aesthetics sector.

Mark Stredwick Owner of Brewtown Tours

Mark Stredwick was brought up in Yarm and studied Economics at Sheffield University. His work history includes 7 years involved with databases and reporting on data for marketing, working on boat and ships on Sydney harbour and in the dredging industry and lastly in beer tourism.

In May 2016 after his 16 years in Sydney, Australia Mark moved back to his home county of Yorkshire. Looking into the local beer scene on his return, he was bowled over by the number of microbreweries in the area and the quality and variety of beer styles they were producing. Due to his experience in Sydney of beer tourism he decided set Brewtown Tours taking people to the small out of the way breweries promoting local produce and small businesses.

In September 2016 Mark moved permanently to York  and joined Network York.

Gary grew up and lives in York. Post-graduation from Liverpool University he started his stockbroking career in 1993 and qualified with BWD Rensburg.

This has given me the chance to focus on building true relationships with my clients, getting to know and understand exactly what their individual needs are and advising them accordingly in all areas of protection – these being life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, medical insurance and health cash plans, along with funeral plans. Based on client feedback I can now also advise clients who wish to make a Will, and/or set up Powers of Attorney.

I work with a range of clients, who vary from Individuals and Families, right through to Sole Trader owner managed businesses, Partnerships and Limited Companies and I take great pride in giving my clients peace of mind.

When not working you’ll either find me at the gym or knee deep in mud gardening!

Hilary Finney: Cordon Bleu cook and cookery tutor.

Hilary was born on the Wirral in Cheshire although moved around the country and to the Philippines and Brazil with her father as senior manager of Unilever all before the age of 16.

Hilary's career after training at the Cordon Bleu school of cookery in London started as third chef at the esteemed Holdback Hall Hotel in Scarborough. After gaining professional qualifications from the institute of hotel and catering management moved to London to work for a large contract catering firm in the City providing directors lunches and managing sta
ff restaurants, then moved back to Yorkshire to manage catering units and assistant to the area manager

In 1986 with two young sons took the helm of Food Solutions her own outside catering business which over 25 years provided catering from 10 to 2500 for companies , prestigious events and famous people including The Duke of Norfolk’s family at Carlton Towers for weekend house parties for 16 years.

After many years teaching adult education courses and students through City & Guilds at Selby College, Harmony House Cookery School was launched in 2007 to inspire less confident cooks that cooking can be fun, simple & look stylish, also provide a fun day out for those who enjoy cooking & experimenting. During that time Hilary had cookery slots on Radio York and in 2014 wrote a cookery book meals in minutes

In 2017 together with husband Paul bought Grimston House which o
ffers accommodation, small event hospitality catering and cookery demonstrations. Hilary continues to be proactive in sharing cookery skills and welcoming guests with Paul and the chickens enjoying the work life balance of a beautiful house and gardens.
